The Canaries Regional Military Museum contains a collection of exhibits from the military past of the Canary Islands. It is housed in the 19th Century barracks Cuartel de Almeida. Weapons are displayed and one of the highlights is El Tigre, the cannon used when Nelson attacked Santa Cruz in 1797. In the collection are flags from the defeated HMS Emerald. There is also a section devoted to General Francisco Franco.
