The Casita del Infante was designed by the great Neo-classical architect Juan de Villanueva in 1772. It was built for Don Gabriel de Bourbon and was intended to be a place where he could enjoy music away from the palace. The lodge was designed to have its own concert hall. King Juan Carlos lived here before his accession to the throne. There are splendid views from the gardens.
