This modern marine park was designed by the brilliant Canary Islands architect and artist Cesar Manrique. Work started in 1995 on the site of the disused, industrial dockyards near the 17th Century Castillo de San Juan which was once part of the town`s defences. There is now an attractive recreation area with a beautiful, seawater swimming pool, children`s paddling pool, sunbathing terraces and palm trees. Nearby is a concert hall and a large palm park.
