The Charles 111 Royal Theatre was built by the architect Jaime Marquet in the late 18th Century to provide entertainment for the lords and ladies of the court. The building has two tiers of boxes and a gallery. It could hold up to five hundred spectators. The theatre became a cinema in the 20th Century and, after restoration work, it was awarded the National Renovation Prize. The theatre is now a Monument of Cultural Interest.
