The main attraction of the Church of Santo Tome is El Greco`s masterpiece The Burial of the Count of Orgaz. The Count, who died in the 14th Century, was benefactor to religious institutions and paid towards the building of this church, which has a fine Mudejar tower. The painting shows St Augustine and St Stephen at the Count`s burial and, it is said, one of El Greco`s sons and the artist himself are in the foreground.
