Cuatro Puertas is an atmospheric pre-Hispanic site near the summit of a hill that was once a volcano. It was an important religious site used for ceremonies. There are some excavated holes in the rocks used for rituals. The name of the site means Four Doors and it comes from the four cave entrances leading into a large cave. The cave was not inhabited but nearby are the Los Pilares cave dwellings.
