El Rebollar is a protected area on the slopes of the Sierra de Gata massif. The mountains of granite and outcrops rise to over 1500 metres. There is an extensive forest of Pyrenean oak and it is one of the largest of its kind in the Iberian Peninsula. Golden eagle and other birds of prey live here as well as wild boar, roe deer, Iberian lynx and wolf. It is a great area for walking and cycling.
