The Parc Aiguamolls de l`Emporda consists of marshlands and is a nature reserve where hundreds of species of birds have been observed. Many kinds of birds nest here and the reserve protects endangered species. Mammals such as water voles and otters may be spotted. The greatest number of birds can be seen during spring and autumn migrations. There is an information centre, birdwatching hides and walks.
