The Garcia Sanabria Municipal Park is a peaceful, beautiful park with trees, shrubs, flowers and fountains. Laid out in the 1920s, it was named after the local mayor. There is a large monument to him as well as several modern sculptures. Of interest are the backrests of benches depicting important scenes in the island`s history. Other features include a play area and kiosks selling snacks.
