Gran Playa is over half a mile long and it lies to the west of the harbour of Santa Pola. The beach has full facilities such as foot showers, a first aid post and kiosks. Sun loungers and parasols can be hired. This beach also has access for the disabled. There is an area for the use of pedalos and it is possible to practise windsurfing.
