The House of the Dean is now the Pilgrims` Office where those who have walked the Camino de Santiago have their pilgrim passports checked before being issued with a certificate. The building dates from the mid 18th Century and it has elaborate carvings above the main door. It also has a fine staircase. The house was used by bishops visiting the city and later served as a residence for the deans of the cathedral.
