Sayalonga is a good centre for walks and mountain biking. From the village a path leads to the top of the mountain La Rabita which rises to 675 metres. From here are extensive views of the La Axarquia region stretching as far as Malaga and Africa on clear days. A longer walk, also suitable for mountain biking, goes all round the mountain offering views of the Natural Park of the Sierra Tejeda.
