Mirador de Helechal is a superb viewpoint reached by a winding road from the little town of Valsequillo. From the mirador are panoramic views of valleys and hills. The area is at its best in February when the countryside is covered in almond blossom. In early February, Valsequillo with its neighbouring villages holds the Fiesta del Almendro en Flor and there are stalls selling local food and drink beside the roadsides.
