Mirador des Savinar is a splendid viewpoint on the cliffs near Cala d` Hort. The 17th Century watchtower Torre de Pirata was a look-out for pirates and invaders. It is now the best place to view the uninhabited Isla Vedra with its sheer cliffs. The island is said to be where the legendary sirens in Homer`s story of Odysseus lured sailors to their doom. Mirador des Savinar can be reached by a path from a parking area off the road to Cala d` Hort.
