The Museum of Salamanca is housed in a mansion that once belonged to Fernando Alvarez Abarca who was the physician of Queen Isabel. It was built in the 15th Century, as was the House of Shells, and is interesting for its architecture, apart from the exhibits. The displays consist mainly of 17th and 18th Century sculpture and paintings. There is a fine pieta by Luis de Morales.
