The Museo do Pobo Galego is housed in the former Convent of Santo Domingo de Bonavel. It is located near the road used by pilgrims as they entered the city. The convent was founded in the 13th Century, but rebuilt later in the Baroque style. It has an unusual spiral staircase. The exhibits cover different aspects of Galacian life and culture, including traditional crafts, paintings, fishing, costumes and music. The monastery`s church can also be visited.
