The Natural History Museum houses a large collecton of flora, fauna and minerals. It is located in the basement of the Chemical Sciences Facility in the Campus Sur. The museum was started in the mid 19th Century by Antonio Garcia Varela and Luis Iglesias and contains collections from that time. The items are not just from Galacia but are from all over the world. The museum also explores the work of Galician scientists and the different departments of the university.
