Teguise is one of the oldest towns on Lanzarote Island and the impressive Palacio Spinola should not be missed. This fine building dates from the mid 18th Century when it was built by Jose Pereza. For many years the palace was the home of Lanzarote`s governor. Cesar Manrique supervised its restoration in the 1970s and it is now open to visitors.
