Playa de Ondarreta is one of the best beaches for swimming and it is backed by a promenade, gardens and large villas. The beach is a continuation of Playa de la Concha beyond Miramar Palace. Near the far end is a statue of Queen Maria Cristina. If you continue along Paseo del Peine de las Vientos, you will come to Eduardo Chillida`s remarkable iron sculpture Comb of the Wind.
