Plaza Mayor is a fine rectangular square overlooked by Siguenza Cathedral. The square has existed since the 15th Century when it became the site of a weekly market as well as space for local festivities and celebrations. Along one side are colonnades and opposite are splendid 15th Century houses. Also in the square was the Dean`s House with its double arcade. Nowadays, the house serves as the Town Hall.
