The Provincial Museum is housed in an elegant 16th Century mansion with a Renaissance facade. One of the highlights is the archaeology collection which contains exhibits from several periods. It includes an Iron Age sword and a Roman catapult. There is also a collection of everyday objects and tools, including a forge and a reconstructed 18th Century pharmacy. Teruel is well known for its ceramics industry, and the museum has an extensive collection.
