The Puerto del Sol is one of the well known gates in the walls that surrounded the city of Toledo. The gate is in the Mudejar style and it is reputed to have been built by the Knights Hospitaler. The gate has two towers and double arches. There is a relief of the Virgin presenting San Ildefonso with a vestment. In the blind arcading is a sculpture of two girls carrying an official`s head on a salver.
