Royal Glass Factory

Most of the chandeliers in the Palace of La Granja were made in a glass factory in the village of San Ildefonso. The present building was built in 1770 and it is one of the few industrial buildings still standing from that period in Spain. Here you can see glass being blown and decorated by traditional methods. There is also an exhibition about the history of the glass works with exhibits from the royal factory.
