The Sar Collegiate Museum is housed in the Church of Santa Maria la Mayor y Real de Sar, part of a Canon Monastery which was founded in the 12th Century. In the museum are religious works and you can see the Romanesque cloister which was built by the Master Mateo. Much restoration work has taken place, opening up additional space, and visitors can see an exhibition dedicated to the folk group `Colexiata do Sar`. On display are some of the group`s traditional costumes.
