Sarria is known for its antiques and there are many shops selling old things from books to ancient cooking utensils. Antique fairs are held here. The town is on the Pilgrim`s Route to Santiago de Compostela and there is a Romanesque church with a pretty cloister. Some old streets remain in part of the town and there is a castle but it is privately owned.
