The Sierra de Urbion is a mountainous region with glacial lakes and forests of Scots pines and beech trees. The River Duero has its source in these mountains. From near Vinuesa a path leads to the lake known as Laguna Negra and the 2300 metres high summit of La Muela de Urbion. Wild boar, roe deer and wolf have their home in the sierra, and it is a good area for rock climbing, cycling, and water sports as well as walking.
