Tarifa is known for the superb conditions for windsurfing and kitesurfing from its spectacular beaches. Six miles of beach composed of golden and white sands lie to the west of the town. The winds may be a problem for those who just want to relax on the beach. There are many shops that rent out equipment and a windsurfing school. Regular competitons are also held here.
