Built on the site of a Roman temple to Jupiter, the 12th Century cathedral was built in the Gothic style, but has evolved over the centuries. The facade is Gothic with Romanesque sections at the sides. There is a large Gothic rose window. Inside is an intricate altarpiece of Saint Tecla, the patron saint, carved in the 15th Century by Pere Joan. The aisles are lined with chapels hung with sumptuous tapestries. The cloister has Gothic vaulting and Romanesque capitals depicting various scenes, including one of rats at a cat`s funeral.
