Every Sunday a large market takes place in the little town of Teguise and it fills the squares and surrounding streets with stalls selling all manner of goods. Performances of traditional song and dance also take place in the main square and other folklore events may be seen in the town. Coaches from many resorts on the island bring tourists to this big, colourful market.
