Trades Guild Houses
Calle Grimaldi, San Lorenzo De El Escorial 28200 - Spain

Map
The Trades Guild Houses are two houses that were built in the late 16th Century by Juan de Herrera and Francisco de Mora. They provided extra accommodation for the palace. During the late 18th Century an underground passage linked the Second Trades House with the monastery and an elevated walkway was built to connect the two houses. The buildings now serve many purposes and are cultural centres. The local tourist information centre is in the First Trades House.
