A stash of gold is reputed to have been buried in Las Cuevas del Tesoro in the 7th Century by Tasulin Ibn Al Hid and many treasure hunters have tried to find the hoard since then. The caves are also said to be the prehistoric sanctuary of the moon goddess Noctiluca. The caves can be visited and here you will find stalactites, stalagmites, underground pools and prehistoric wall paintings. There is also a children`s playground. During August the caves are the venue for a music festival.
