The Victoria Eugenia Theatre is a beautiful building which opened in 1912 and it hosted many of the leading actors of the time. It was the most important venue for the performing arts in San Sebastian and the annual film festival was also held here before the opening of the Kursaal on the opposite side of the River Urumea. Opposite the theatre is a park dedicated to the admiral Oquendo.
