The small village of Chinamada in the Anaga Mountains is known for its houses which are cut into the rock. The village is usually reached by a walk of just over a mile from Las Carboneras and the hike offers stupendous views of the ravine Barranco del Tomadera and the Roque de Taborno. From a mirador near Chinamada are wonderful views of the sea and cliffs.
