The Castillo de Vozmediano stands on a rock within two enclosures and it has a thick outside wall with battlements. There is a large tower with gates giving access to the outside and the courtyard. At one time the castle was connected to the house of Marquis Santillana. Before the time of Fernando 1V, Vozmediano was an independent village. The castle can be visited.
