Blue Tower
Passeig Maritim De Ribes Roges, Vilanova i la Geltru - Spain

Map
Vilanova i la Geltru was once a fortified town and this structure known as the Blue Tower, or Torre Blava, was built in the late 19th Century. Once a protection for the port area, it is the only one that remains. In the early 20th Century some alterations and enlargements were made to the building and the fortress became a leisure centre and a spa but much of it was demolished some years later when work was done on the promenade. Nowadays the inside contains art concerning the town by Josep Guinovart.
