The Casa de las Artes Gallery is housed in a building designed in 1939 by Romualdo de Madariaga for the Bank of Spain. In the 1980s it became the property of the council and it is now an important venue for temporary exhibitions. These include photography and sculpture as well as paintings by contemporary artists. The gallery also houses a collection of portraits and landscapes by local artist Luis Torras.
