The Cueva de los Murcielagos is a spectacular limestone cave near Zuheros. It was inhabited in Neanderthal times and on the cave walls are paintings of animals and humans. There are also unusual limestone formations. Other discoveries made by archaeologists reveal that the caves were used for ritual functions at a later date. From the site of the cave are fantastic views of Zuheros.
