Located in the old part of the town, the Iglesia del Divino Salvador was built in the 14th Century on the site of a mosque. It has three aisles and it is in the Gothic and Mudejar styles with later neo-Gothic additions. Nearby are part of the old 15th Century walls enclosing the old town. Gateways remain from the earlier Moorish ramparts. The old part of Vejer De La Frontera is well worth exploring on foot.
