The City Museum is housed in a palace that belonged to the Marques del Campo. The building dates from the 18th Century but since then it has been remodelled and there is a splendid staircase. In the palace you can see the city`s art collection which consists mainly of paintings between the 15th and the 20th centuries, including works by Epinosa and Benlliure. There is also a section in the museum devoted to the early history of Valencia.
