The Fine Arts Museum is housed in the Augusti Palace, an early 20th Century building which was designed by Julian Apraiz and Javier Lugue. They were the architects for the neo-Gothic new cathedral. The palace was originally built as a residence for its owner, Ricardo de Augusti. The museum exhibits Spanish art from the 17th Century and the 19th Century, and paintings by Basque artists, many in the costumbrista style, including works by Zuloaga and Regoyos.
