The Galician Martime Museum is a modern museum consisting of restored warehouses, a lighthouse and a pier with an aquarium. Designed by architects Aldo Rossi from Italy and Cesar Portela of Galicia, it opened in 2002. There is a permanent exhibition with displays covering all the aspects of the fishing industry in Galicia. You can also see prehistoric archaeological pieces relating to fishing whilst the aquarium covers the ecosystem of the nearby bays and inlets.
