The Museo de Heraldic Alavesa is housed in a small fortress which dates from the 13th Century. The castle is located in the centre of Mendoza village, and it was once a fortified ducal residence. The museum has a fascinating collection of the coats af arms of noble Basque families through the centuries, as well as an exhibition of items relating to them. Beautiful views can be enjoyed from the castle`s towers.
