The Laxeiro Collection is home to a permanent collection of works by the Galician artist Jose Otero Abeledo who died in 1996. Known as Laxeiro, he was representative of the artistic movement in Galicia known as Renovadores which followed European trends rather than those purely local in Galicia. The foundation holds temporary exhibitions and specialises in the works of young artists from Galicia.
