The Monasterio de Moreruela was founded in the 12th Century by the Cistercians. Now in ruins, it is still impressive and you can see the roofless church, parts of the chapter house and rooms dating from the 14th and 16th centuries, but the cloister is no longer standing. There are some Gothic features and it is still possible to find the marks made by the different stonemasons.
