The Municipal Museum of Valldemossa is located in the former monastery and in its rooms are works of art by famous Spanish and International painters as well as those by Mallorcan artists. On display are works by landscape artists who painted Mallorca`s Tramuntana area, and among them is the American Impressionist John Singer Sargent. There are also contemporary displays with works by Picasso, Tapies and Miro. The museum also has small works by international artists, including Francis Bacon and Henry Moore.
