The Museo L` Almodi is housed in a 16th Century granary that has a Gothic facade and a Renaissance interior arranged around an attractive courtyard. As well as Roman and Iberian artefacts, there are some Islamic ceramics. In the art section are paintings by Jose Ribero who was born in Xativia in 1591. There is also a collection of Goya engravings. Do not miss the portrait of Felipe V which is hung upside down in vengeance for his act of burning the town during the War of the Spanish Succession.
