This well presented museum houses a collection of weapons ranging from prehistoric axes to early 20th Century pistols. Medieval suits of armour are also on display. Sections of the museum are dedicated to the Napoleonic era and, especially, the Battle of Vitoria. On the 21st of June 1813, commanded by the Duke of Wellington, English, Spanish and Portuguese troops defeated the French. The museum contains a scale model of the battle, and a large monument in the Plaza de la Virgen Blanca commemorates the victorious event.
