The Natural History Museum is in a fortified house that was built into the town walls in medieval times. It was rebuilt in the 16th Century for Ochanda, the daughter of Don Andres Martinez de Iruna and is now known as the Torre de Dona Ochanda. The museum contains more than half a million exhibits and they consist of botanical, zoological and geological items. The geolgical collection contains many pieces of amber.
