O Vao Beach is a popular beach just outside the city of Vigo. It is about half a mile long and has a boardwalk along it which gives access to the beach. Facilities include showers, drinking fountains and places to play football. Water sports are popular here and canoes can be hired whilst windsurfing courses can be arranged. Nearby, a bridge gives access to the Illa Torula where there are small beaches.
