The Museo Provincial del Vino is located in the courtyard of Penafiel Castle and there are three floors devoted to wine and its history. The growing of the vines are explained as well as the types of press and bottling. The trades of cooper and glass maker are not forgotten. Wine throughout the ages is another explored topic and you can find out about wine in ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome. The museum also has a shop.
